Going to do a run 2012/10/03 15:20 Using BWR 1.73, 2236 Grib. According to the script this is the optimal time. 5.97hr Calculated.
Thanks for all the work you do to produce these tools, it is appreciated.

Aaron I did a prerun check for saturday afternoon 10-03-2012, BWR 1.72 , I intended to start 1600 UTC before running BWR.
However after running TCL it appeared an earlier starting time 1500 UTC gave a slightly better result 5.92 instead of 5.94 and the broadest time window eg 1445-1530 UTC ( theoretical track time 5.92 hrs or 5 hrs 55 min 20 sec) .
Final sailed time 5 H:57 M:34 S , including two tacks / gybes to 88 % and a new weather update.
Have amended suggested BWR route to my own views unfortunately not good enough for first place but still a comforting second.

That 0.02 hrs makes quite a difference in these sprints hey…

Sadly, I was absent during the race and as Maxwell Smart would say, “missed the finish by that much”

Brilliant tool. With it’s help I managed to get a 6th. And I think I could have beaten Win in my 2nd run if the 2nd tack wasn’t late… my fault. I’ll get him next time 😉
