Different links layout for the 2012 Races page

As you probably already know, I try to put race files for the 2 most common routers used on SOL, as well as ‘raw’ GPX for importing into other programs like Google Earth or other Nav software, on the Races page (except for the very short ‘non-routable’ races). A recent update of Expedition allows it […]

BWR Polar Creator Update

I have updated the Polar Creator/Optimiser to now correctly handle SOL txt files with no TWA=0 column or without a TWS=0 row – and also to tell between TWS in m/s or knots – as sailonline uses the rule ‘if max TWS < 20 units are m/s, otherwise knots’. Original download links now point to […]

Bluewater Racing Optimised Polar Creation

I now have available a tool to not only convert text polar data from brainaid’s/SOL format to Bluewater optimised polar files, but it will also download the polar data directly from a SOL race – NO LOGIN REQUIRED! (Hence the name ‘creator’) 😉 Check it out here

Polar Butterfly Overlay now available

Well, given the framework I have established for use in the main toolkit to allow more tools to be easily contructed later as plugins, it didnt take long at all to develop a completely standalone version of the polar butterfly overlay. That and I thought “Hey there’s a race coming up in New Zealand, get […]

SOL Toolkit update

I will provide updates on new features I have added to the SOL toolkit I have been working on. Also ask for any suggestions and other feedback based on what has been made public so far. Maybe a bit of a teaser until I can actually make the program public, but I want to make […]
